Workshops A: Tuesday, 25th September, 2018

7:00 am - 8:30 am Value Maximising Strategies for Strategic Asset Management Plans

Effective asset management plans require defined goals and strategies to achieve them at each stage of the asset life cycle. With the Asset Management Accountability Framework, the Victorian Treasury established a flexible framework for appropriate asset portfolio management to guide agencies in realizing full value from their assets within their specific contexts.

Enjoy Complimentary Breakfast Tea and Coffee while you learn to:

  • Account for key considerations when designing SAMPs.
  • Understand how the different phases of the asset lifecycle must be considered in the SAMP.

Workshops B: Tuesday, 25th September, 2018

5:45 pm - 7:00 pm Understanding the Key Challenges and Solutions for Realising Strategy

Jacobs has assisted 7 different government agencies, in some cases managing vastly different assets, to take serious steps towards realizing the state-wide vision for asset management outlined in the Asset Management Accountability Framework. This has given them unparalleled insight into how effective implementation of strategy can be achieved across different asset types and within agencies with vastly different AM maturity and resources.

Enjoy Complimentary Breakfast Tea and Coffee while you learn to:

  • Identify hidden AM capability that always exists within an agency.
  • Develop an improvement roadmap that is time based, realistically achievable and specifically tailored to suit the scale and capability of the agency.
  • Not only implement the change management program within normal BAU, but continually demonstrate success to the executive and maintain critical program support.

Workshops C: Wednesday 26th September, 2018

7:00 am - 8:30 am Exploring Opportunities to Create Time and Cost Efficiencies through Automated Systems, Tools and Data Analytics

Planning and monitoring systems are a clear way to decrease the time (and potentially money) spent on case by case planning and on tracking asset condition. However, once these systems are in place, there is a multitude of ways to get further value from them. School Infrastructure NSW’s School Planning Assistance Tool provides consistency for planners and helps to build the evidence based case for future development, while their asset monitoring system creates transparency by allowing stakeholders (including school principals) to see how the maintenance needs of their schools compare to others.

Enjoy Complimentary Breakfast Tea and Coffee while you learn to:

  • Reassess your current asset monitoring and planning systems, to identify viable opportunities to create efficiencies.
  • Refine ideas on use of data to maximize the value you gain from it.
  • Review current procedures and identify opportunities for standardization and automation to create consistency.
